PDR quote process
The paintless dent removal process (PDR) typically consists of several steps prior to the completed work.
At The Dent Shed, we follow strict guidelines in the following procedures:
Taking the call
Whatever the time and no matter how you contact us by phone, email or referral from other customers or companies, we will immediately guide you through the process to get your vehicle repaired.
First step is to establish whether you have gone through an insurance company and satisfied their requirements. Some insurance companies require quotations and assessments via a PDR company before a decision is made as to the appropriate type of repair required. We will assist you in preparing the necessary documentation.
PDR Assessment and Quotation
Our quotation and assessment reports are processed for your consideration.
Depending on the extent of the damage to your vehicle determines how quickly the vehicle can be assessed. Nevertheless, it is essential that we thoroughly examine all panels to provide a realistic assessment and quotation. Although it may take an hour to process the final quote, it is often easier for most to drop off the vehicle at one of our depots during the morning and pick up at a later time that day. The final qoutation is not simply a guestimate. We have set formulas and guidelines that factor the difficulty and amount of time it takes to repair dents with minimal cost. In some instances, most panels can be repaired whilst others are most cost effective to be replaced by new genuine parts. Whatever is required, we do all that research for you and provide you with a clear and detailed quotation.

Furthermore, if there are any non-hail related dents, these will be discussed at the time you pick up the vehicle and qotation report. With so many years of experience in paintless dent repairs, it becomes obvious what damage is naturally consistent with hailstones.
Repairing the vehicle
Once the decision is made to go ahead with the agreed quote, you would want to book in a time for your vehicle to go ahead with the repair. In most cases, the time taken to repair the actual vehicle is not that long. However, please be aware there are factors that can delay the process outside of our control such as parts that require to be ordered from overseas in the case of at least some model types. If there are long delays, usually you will be notified by the technicians.
Quality control
All completed work on vehicles including the PDR work and replacement of panels, are thoroughly quality checked by the head technician, then management and then by you when it is picked up. If any irregularities exist, they have to be rectified by the technician assigned to the task. The Dent Shed has so many years of experience amongst the technicians that this is rarely an issue and customers are absolutely astonished by the results! Therefore, when you pick up the vehicle, allow yourself time to be shown what repairs have been made to the vehicle.
